Following reports that reggae artiste Chronixx and members of his ZincFence band were allegedly beaten at a recent show in Paris, France, the artiste himself never confirmed or denied the stories until now.

In an interview with popular radio host Ron Muschette on Irie FM's Wake Up Call yesterday morning, the entertainer said while there was a disagreement between an unauthorised person and members of his team, the issue was dealt with in a calm, non-violent manner.

"There is absolutely no truth in no form of argument that would say Chronixx was in a fight, if is not a spiritual fight. We could never take up hand and foot bout we want war," he said. He went on to explain what happened. "An unauthorised person, Chronixx and the venue security had a problem and it was dealt with in one of the most calm manner."

He went on to say the situation could have been a lot worse had he not been the kind of person he is. "Probably, if it was someone else, there could've been a big thing, but we knew what our battle was and what our purpose in Europe at the time was," he said. "We could've never compromised our mission, the Dread and Terrible tour for any problem or anything."

As the interview wrapped up, the artiste gave words of advice to fellow entertainers. "As artistes we have to choose our battles, so when you go on tour, it name tour. Yuh nuh go as Mohammed Ali and yuh nuh go as Mike Tyson".

Last month, Chronixx's management team denied reports made by Platinum Records that a beating took place while the artiste was on the Paris leg of his Dread and Terrible tour. They also threatened to take legal action against the company if the story was not retracted, but Platinum Records maintained that they only blasted the story as they were not the authors, so a retraction by them would not be done.
