Canadian singer Lucas DiPasquale has reinterpreted a few song selections from dancehall artiste Popcaan, much to the delight of users on video networking site YouTube.

In the video entitled 'Popcaan Mashup', which is more than three minutes in length; DiPasquale plays his guitar, while sampling songs like Road Haffi Tek On, Up inna di Club, Only Man She Want and Raving.

Though the songs are done to the tunes of his guitar, DiPasquale still maintains Popcaan's use of the Jamaican dialect.

The video has so far garnered a little more than 69,000 views and continues to grow. In comments posted below the video, one user praised DiPasquale's voice as well as provided insights on what Popcaan could be thinking about it.

"You should make more Jamaican videos. As a Jamaican, I big you up. You sound neat Lucas. Keep up the Good work. Every Jamaican loves this video. You are awesome! Beyond great! Well done!" one comment read.

"Love the way you slowed down the song! Amazing," said another comment.

In the mean time, in an email interview with Popcaan's management team, the artiste made contact with DiPasquale through direct message on micro-blogging site, Twitter.

According to his management team, Popcaan expressed elation at the reinterpretation.

"It's wicked. I liked it. Shows how my music can influence people in different ways," the artiste is reported to have said.
