Gospel Explosion for the kids

While Sunday is being reserved for the celebration of mothers, Sandy Brown will be paying special attention to children when she hosts Gospel Explosion along with the Celebration Church.

Brown says this will be her first gospel event and the proceeds from the event will be going to the children's church.

"The show will be held on Mother's Day and it is in aid of the children church. I've always had a passion for the children so I just want to give back. This is my first event since I have been born again (four years ago) and I just want to give back," she told The STAR, adding that she plans to do other charity ventures in the future.

The proceeds will be used to purchase games, computers and other things to make the children comfortable.

Brown says the event will be held tomorrow at the Celebration Church on Half-Way Tree Road, St Andrew. The event will have acts like Prophet Michael Carter, Kevin Downswell, Alicia Taylor, and Garfield Reid.

"It's all about worshipping and souls coming forth. It will be an awesome show. I am expecting a lot of energy. I expect a lot of support," Brown said.

"You hardly find events that you can take your mommy to. As a child of God, if you are looking somewhere to take your mommy, it's a great place. The mothers will also receive a token when they enter."
