Adult use steel to beat 10-yr-old

Accused of throwing faeces into house

Three adults including a male have been arrested and charged by the St Catherine North police for allegedly beating a 10-year-old boy with pieces of steel after he reportedly threw goat faeces into their house.

The three were charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm after the matter was reported to the Guanabovale Police Station.

It is reported that the child was accosted by the suspects, who accused him of throwing the waste in the house. They then started to rain blows on him with pieces of steel. Following the ordeal the child sought medical attention.

A subsequent investigation was launched which resulted in the three persons being criminally charged. They are to appear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court.
