Student fight gains attention online
Chad Bryan, Star Writer

It was like a scene out of the Wray and Nephew Contender Welterweight competition as two female students of a Corporate Area high school were caught on video throwing powerful punches.

The video, which was posted to social networking site Facebook, was 44 seconds in length and featured the two students in uniform duking it out.

It was unclear when the video was posted or when the fight took place.

However, in it, one female student, who evidently had the upper hand, flung punches wildly, threw uppercuts akin to those in real boxing, and rained blows down upon her 'competitor' who had to hang on to her to steady herself.

The other female student tried desperately to regain control over the situation, however, she was unsuccessful.

None of the other students who were visible in the video attempted to part them.

Cheers and students video recording the fight were obvious.

It was a security guard who broke up the fight, but the superior 'competitor' was still relentless. She eventually had to be dragged away by schoolmates.

In the meantime, the principal of the institution, when contacted, said she was not aware of the video.

"I don't know what this incident is, I am not aware," she said.

The video was then sent to her and when contacted again to offer comment, she was out of office.
