Woman fatally stabbed, another on the run

One woman is dead and another on the run after a fatal stabbing incident between the two on Sunday in Duhaney Park, St Andrew.

Information reaching our news desk is that both women, who were known to each other, had a dispute that turned physical, following which a knife was brought into play.

The deceased has since been identified as 27-year-old Kimberly King, of a Brooks Avenue address in the community.

Report reaching THE STAR is that about 6:45 p.m., King and the other woman, who remains at large, were involved in an altercation when King was stabbed repeatedly. Residents summoned the police to the scene and King was transported to the hospital where she later died.

The Duhaney Park police told our news team that the investigation was ongoing as they examine the circumstances surrounding the killing.

The police are also appealing to anyone with information to contact the Duhaney Park police at 933-4280, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
