Aidonia for Lime Street Football tomorrow

Aidonia is promising to 'shell down' the place come tomorrow, when LIME launches the final of their Street Football Competition in Half-Way Tree Square.

As the competition reaches its enthralling climax on May 23, Labour Day, the thousands expected to turn out to see four parish champions compete for the million-dollar first prize can also expect a pulsating entertainment package.

Hanover, Westmoreland, St Thomas and Kingston will engage in heated battle for the cash bounty and a chance to represent Jamaica in Trinidad at the Guinness Regional Street Football Competition.

LIME in turn has upped the ante and, as such, Half-Way Tree Road will be blocked off from the clock to South Odeon Avenue and the area will be transformed into a mini-stadium. Off the field of play, some of Jamaica's best entertainers will line up to excite the crowd.

"In addition to the exciting football showdown we have an entertainment package led by Aidonia, our brand ambassadors Ity and Fancy Cat, along with Pretty Boy Floyd and the LIME dancers," said LIME Vice-President of Marketing Carlo Redwood.

Aidonia, a big fan of football, has praised the competition, saying it can only be good for the island's talented youngsters. "As a baller myself, it's a good look to see that LIME is showcasing young talents," he said. "Our youths of today need to stay motivated and it takes challenges like these that make them go harder to pursue their talent and work hard towards it."

The entertainer, who in recent times has produced songs like Fi Di Jockey, Tan Tuddy, Six Thirty and Bruki that have excited his growing throng of female fans, has promised to bring his 'A' game to the ball game. "It's a joy to be performing at the finals for fans of my music and fans of my favourite sport," he said.
