Two parents and an outside lover, who have come together forming a violent love triangle, were hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Charged are Geovanni Bryan, Denisha Reid and Shawana Rose, who allegedly created quite a spectacle during a public brawl. Both Bryan and Reid pleaded guilty, while Rose pleaded not guilty.

The Crown alleged that on the day in question, babyfather Bryan; his babymother, Reid, and Bryan's lover, Rose, got into a lover's spat, resulting in all three coming to blows with each other in a public place. It is believed that Reid may have been the aggressor in the debacle.

The court heard that Rose was using Bryan's mobile phone to respond to text messages sent by his babymother.

"The reason I know it was she, is because usually when him texting, at least three or four words spell wrong," Reid explained.

"She destroyed my glasses I have a sweater there, she tear it up and burn it," explained Rose, attempting to outline Reid's violent temperament.

Unimpressed by the accounts given by both, Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey said: "You can't go down there [fighting] and everybody have to scatter,"

"I'm going to throw you in jail! Because he's your babyfather, you feel you have a certain right," the sitting magistrate said, directing her attention to Reid.

Subsequently, Bryan had his bail extended, while Reid was remanded pending trial. Both were ordered to return to court on May 26. Rose was admonished and discharged.

"Nurse, I think you need to be careful where you go. The other two (Reid and Bryan), give your fingerprints to the police, we have to keep the warrior with us," Pusey concluded.
