Jamaica Mek Wi Laugh set for today

Following the overwhelming success of the first staging of the new season of Jamaica Mek Wi Laugh; creator and promoter Lady Rennae continues to up the stakes on her live comedy series.

Come today, the stage is once again set for patrons looking to de-stress, as the second edition of the comedic showcase unfolds at the Countryside Club on Courtney Walsh Drive.

Today's show will feature several burgeoning acts such as beat boxer Mixing Lab and dance choreographer Schoy, alongside comedic offerings from Dufton Shepherd and Suncity FM broadcaster and actor Christopher 'Johnny' Daley, bolstered by a musical presentation from veteran dancehall star General Degree, with hosting duties courtesy of the multitalented Pretty Boy Floyd and music by Darkcide International.

exciting and different

According to Rennae, the intent is to offer patrons something new, exciting and different with each staging. "The opening show was excellent. we had Twin of Twins, Demarco, Leighton Smith, DJ SoSick and Pretty Boy Floyd, and, you saw what happened. Now we've added dance choreography and beat boxing to increase the entertainment value, and that's just the beginning of what patrons can expect. I won't say anymore, just come to the show and see for yourselves," she said.

Based on current feedback via social media and other platforms, the streets are abuzz with activity as preparations are in full throttle for another bumper crowd. The show starts at 7 p.m. sharp and ends at 10 p.m.
