Entertainer Sharp is upbeat about his upcoming promotional trip to the island in the coming week.

Having built a huge fan base in America, the Miami-based artiste, whose real name is Oketto Chambers, is here to demand the attention of the dancehall fraternity.

"I am so happy to be coming to Jamaica to promote my music. Even though I am based overseas, I have been very true to my roots in reggae music. This is a genre I grew up listening to and love and that is the music I will continue to do," he said.

Sharp is currently promoting his new single Twerk It, a collaboration with dancehall's 'baddest' duo Voicemail. The single has been getting tremendous feedback from local and international fans and has been enjoying good rotations on radio.

The single comes right in time for the summer and has that hot summer sizzle vibe that the females, especially, will love. "Twerk It is a song that can be played in any dance and the females will be twerking. The song is also radio friendly and has been getting nothing but love right across," he said.

The accompanying video which was shot in America, will be premiered on CVM's hottest entertainment program, the 'Hitlist'.

Sharp is known for hits such as Money Right and Biz. While in Jamaican he will be interviewed at all the popular radio stations. "This trip is a really short one. The aim was to follow up with these local interviews after receiving such wonderful airplay out here, but don't worry Jamaica, You will be seeing me soon."
