Taking a stand in support of the fight against violence and abuse against women, men and children, recording artiste Ikaya will launch the new video of her song, 'Bang Bang', on Saturday, which attempts to speak out against those attacks.

The launch is scheduled to take place at South Dale Plaza, St Andrew at 7 p.m.

"The inspiration behind this song is based upon what I have been through. A lot of persons out there have been mentally, physically or verbally abused, and I know a lot of persons can relate to that. Persons may say to you that you won't turn out to be anything or all of that," the Fly Away and Hard Way crooner, said.

According to Ikaya, the video represents a melodious musical composition that is likely to open an individual's consciousness and call them to action in the case where they are battling physical and verbal abuse.

She continued that the story told is one of relationships, thoughts of murder and suicide among others and are tales that we hear about each day.

The video was directed by Scorpio 21, and the song produced by Oufah Media and Productions.

Delus, Shuga, Darrio, Dalton Harris, D-Major, Romain Virgo, Voicemail, and gospel artiste Omari, are among the special guest performers uniting in the fight against violence, and who will be in attendance at the launch tomorrow night.

Ikaya says she has a number of projects lined up, especially an upcoming tour in Europe to promote Bang Bang.

"I am in the studio working on new projects. I have other new stuff coming after this single. It is a follow-up to the song, but no release date has been set. It will also be produced by Oufah Media and Productions," Ikaya said.
