Entertainer denied bail

A bail application was denied for a part-time singer/entertainer accused of being in possession of more than 30 ATM cards, when his matter was called up Friday in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Charged with unauthorised access to data and simply larceny is 37-year-old Coyote Daye from St Ann. Daye pleaded not guilty to both charges.

The court was told that Daye stole $5,000 and, without being authorised, obtained access to NCB's computer data.

The court also heard that Daye was being investigated for other matters.

Allegations are that he was found with more than 30 cards, including that of a policeman's wife, who does not know the accused.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey, after being advised of Daye's frequent change of addresses, said, "He's too transit for me, let him stay with the Government."

Daye was further remanded, until July 4, when his matter will be mentioned again.
