Mello Vibes brings high energy

Mello Vibes had the usual high energy at Mas Camp, Stadium North, on Saturday.

The venue was packed from as early as 11 p.m., and patrons were still in a line on the outside hoping to share in the excitement. DJ Denvor played exciting pop songs like DJ Saved My Life and Ladies Night, before switching to soca songs like Dollar Wine, Ring Road, Tiny Winey and Turn It Around.

Songs like Bob Marley's Natural Mystic and Tiger's Wanga Gut had an impact before patrons were hyped up with hard-core dancehall selections like Ninja Man's Bad Man Wicked Man and Tennor Saw's Pumkin Belly.

DJ Crazy Chris came later and got patrons dancing to Simpleton's Coco Cola Bottle Shape and songs from the King of Dancehall Yellowman, which, of course, had many patrons gyrating with their partners. Before long, patrons were down the dancehall memory lane with hits like DemNuh Like Me by Capleton and Trailer Load A Girls by Shabba Ranks.

The event concluded at 2 a.m. and the DJs managed to keep the patrons' full attention up until the last selection was played.
