Don Husky going 'On and On'

Don Husky - File

At the beginning of the year, the name Don Husky was virtually unknown in local music circles.

However, things changed rapidly for the talented 21-year-old deejay who hails from the Whitehall community in Kingston, since the release of his hit single, On and On.

The single is currently one of the hottest street anthems in Jamaica, positioning Don Husky as an artiste to watch in the dancehall arena.

"Since the release of this song my career has taken off. Everywhere I go in the streets, the people know me. It's a great feeling when your song is playing in the party and everybody is dancing to it. I really love the way the people are responding to my music overall. On and On has open the gates for me and the fans are digging my other songs, too."

The thought-provoking track produced by Cordell 'Skatta' Burrell of Downsound Records, is currently number six on the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae Singles chart.

The video for On and On is also doing quite well, as it is currently number one the FI Wi Choice Top10 countdown on TVJ. It has also topped a number of other local video charts, including the HitList Dancehall Chart on CVM TV and HYPE TV's VTX Countdown.

Don Husky is currently promoting the video for his single, No One Gal. The video, which was directed by Downsound Records CEO, Joe Bogdanovich, is enjoying heavy rotation on a number of television stations, including CVM Plus, HYPE TV and RETV.

"The response to the video for No One Gal has been very good, and the song is getting a lot of support on radio, too. People are already predicting that it is going to be my next hit song," said Don Husky.
