Illegal ammunition, DVDs and computer devices seized

The police say they have seized several rounds of ammunition, a number of stolen computer devices and illegal DVDs following an operation in Kingston and St Catherine on the weekend.

On Saturday, Operation Resilience III team, in conjunction with military personnel, recovered a 9-millimetre Browning pistol, along with 14 nine millimetre rounds and hundreds of illegal DVDs in downtown Kingston.

Meanwhile, a breakthrough in an ongoing case led to the arrest of a man and the seizure of 10 laptops at a house in Linstead, St Catherine.

The laptops had been stolen in May from a parked car in Eastwood Park Gardens in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew.

The police also found Ipods, one amplifier, a Kawasaki generator, five Samsung Galaxy cell phones, 17 Samsung flat-screen televisions, several USB cables, a GPS radio, and a military compass.

The items are also believed to have been stolen.
