Masicka's 'Truth' angers J.O.P fans

Dancehall artiste Masicka has released the video for 'The Truth', in which he takes aim at J.O.P front man, Aidonia.

Footage from the video released on Saturday shows Masicka cutting of the head of a goat clad in a J.O.P-branded shirt, clearly identifying his intended targets.

Since its release, the video has generated a buzz in the streets, many angered that the deejay would kill a goat, on camera, to prove his point.

However, when The STAR contacted the artiste, he explained that the animal was not harmed unnecessarily and had stated as much in a disclaimer towards the end of the video. The statement read, 'No animals were hurt in the making of this video for unnecessary purposes.' He said the animal was slaughtered for cooking purposes.

With this latest move by Masicka, J.O.P supporters believe it is time for Aidonia to answer and end Masicka's reign. Since the single was first released in April, a lyrical showdown was expected between the artistes, but that has not materialised as Aidonia is yet to answer Masicka's claims.

In April, Masicka told The STAR he had taken aim at Aidonia because he had reason to believe the deejay was out to sabotage his career. He claimed Aidonia had been warning promoters not to play his songs and was sending his followers to carry out his dirty deeds.

In a recent release, Masicka said Aidonia will be forced to answer him, or the world will know he is a coward.
