Two St Catherine men are now facing the court after they were arrested and charged with having sex with a 13-year-old girl who worked as a bartender.

The Star was informed that the men were held after one was seen in the company of the teenager two weeks ago.

It was when the police intervened that the crime came to the fore.

The police were told that the child had slept with the accused the night before and was being taken to the bus stop.

An investigation was launched which resulted in the 26-year-old man being charged with having sex with a person under the age of 16.

It was also revealed that a 56-year-old man had sex with her six months prior.

He too was taken into custody on similar charge.

The child in question was employed as a bartender in a rural St Catherine community.

Further investigations by the police resulted in the child's mother being charged with aiding and abetting.

Both men, who are represented by attorney-at-Law Earl Hamilton, were granted bail in the sum of $150,000 each when they appeared in court on Wednesday.
