The Ewarton Community Centre in St Catherine is set to come alive on August 6, 2014 with the inaugural staging of Summer Jam.

The event, which will be headlined by Alkaline, will have a million-dollar-man matchup between Tanto Blacks and LA Lewis, who will engage each other in a lyrical battle.

''This will be a night when LA Lewis will match lyrical skills with Tanto Blacks for a million dollars in a winner-take-all matchup. Tanto says he wants to upgrade his Volvo, while LA Lewis says he is already the winner,'' said promoter Philip Pindler.

Pindler says the aim of the event is to keep the entertainment energy high and bring back fun and cutting-edge competition to the industry.

When The STAR contacted Tanto Blacks, he was excited and looking forward to taking the title.

''Well mi naw romp wid LA Lewis as him a call up mi name pon Facebook, but mi just a done him, an when mi done wid him, nobody ago member him,'' Tanto Blacks warned.

Meanwhile, LA Lewis told The STAR that he has the ammunition to deal with his opponent on the night.

''Him no ready fi no clash as the last time him carry supporters to Famous. now we will be on neutral ground, him dead already. If him want tune fi tune or lyrics, him is no deejay fi LA Lewis,'' the self-proclaimed 'seven star general' said.

Lewis says he also released a song called Dead Bwoy on the Gaza Federation Rhythm which has been getting some blessing.

Meanwhile, the promoter says there will be other attractions like Kiddies corner, the Jamaican Michael Jackson, a bounce-a-bout, and Hilarious Granny treat, all happening from 10 a.m., until 6 p.m.
