Domestic dispute leaves two dead
Chad Bryan, Star Writer

A domestic dispute left a couple dead and their house destroyed by fire in the Bushland community of Orange Bay, Hanover, on Sunday afternoon.

Dead is 32-year-old Ricardo 'Ricky' Hylton, a fisherman, and his hairdresser wife, 28-year-old Lenora Hylton.

It is being reported by the police that the couple had been having domestic disputes, which led to a fight on June 10. It is also believed that Lenora wanted out of the relationship.

On Sunday, shortly after 2:30 p.m., the couple was heard quarrelling. Sometime afterwards, neighbours saw smoke coming from the board and zinc dwelling and alerted the police and fire department.

Fire units from Negril and Hanover conducted cooling-down operations.

The husband was found lying on the veranda, while Lenora's body was discovered in the kitchen.

The house and its content, which is estimated to be valued about $3.5m, were not insured.

The bodies were removed to the morgue, where a post-mortem examination is expected to be done.

The matter is being investigated by the Green Island police.
