Overdose cookout promises

to deliver with sumptuous food

Conroy Samuels - File

"People are going to be blown away by the menus on offer", says Conroy Samuels ahead of his annual cookout and party event set for June 27.

Sponsored mainly by Rum-Bar, Overdose summer cookout, is set to take place at Eatery Lawn at Gateway Plaza in Old Harbour, St Catherine and Samuels is putting everything in place to ensure patrons gets value for each dollar spent.

Going into its fourth year, the event has taken on the identity over the years as an energy-filled, finger-licking occasion, a testament to Samuels' and companys' efforts and creativity.

The music will come from DJ Madness and Old Harbour's fast-rising selecting duo Johnny Boy and Bravo. With them at the helm, one can expect a musical onslaught.

Fish and food go for $1000 and lobsters will cost $1500.

The chef, known to most as Mr. Cookout, seems content to mix up things in the kitchen. A Rum-Bar-sauced jerk chicken, roast chicken again sauced in Worthy Gold rum and an Overdose-spice pig tail will be served as part of his creativity. Side orders include Spanish rice, polenta and conch soup.

The event is also being sponsored by Boom energy drink, Worthy Gold Rum, Rum-Bar rum cream and Nansense.
