Ribbiz unveils football viewing events

The greatest football show on Earth is off to a great start and with it comes the excitement and revelry that normally surrounds an event of this magnitude.

Last Wednesday, Ribbiz Ultra Lounge at the Acropolis in Barbican unveiled its plans for the FIFA World Cup.

Along with sponsors JustBet, Red Stripe, Pepsi and LIME, the launch saw the complete transformation of the outlet into football headquarters with flags of all the participating countries erected, a completely rebranded TV wall as well as footballs, boots, and other football memorabilia.

According to Kamal Bankay, experience curator at Ribbiz, the whole concept was built around a passport.

"We have designed special Ribbiz football passports. These will get each guest into each viewing party free of charge to enjoy the matches in fine style and comfort. Each page is stamped with the date of each match, upon presentation at the door," Bankay informed.

He also explained that those without a passport will have to contribute $1,000 towards their overall food and beverage cost.

The location will now open at 10 a.m. on game days to facilitate the showing of early matches.

Red Stripe and Pepsi Samba Platters were also created specially for large groups of football fans. These platters will start from $2,500, inclusive of Pepsi or Red Stripe.

"The sampler platters are a great value for consumers and football fans. A new item on the menu for the summer is our smoked pork tenderloin in jerk pineapple sauce, which is sure to gain many lovers throughout the football season," remarked Ribbiz food guru Don Creary.
