Rumbar Vodka Flex Week launched in style

The much-anticipated week-long party series to be staged in Kingston and Portmore, Rumbar Vodka Flex Week, had a glitzy launch in the Gardens of the Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston last Wednesday evening.

This year, Rumbar Flex Week will host 10 parties in one week, from August 1-6, during the Emancipation-Independence week of celebrations.

Guest speaker Damion Crawford, minister of state in the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment, applauded the promotion team and sponsors of the event. He saidhe welcomed such initiatives that could bolster the economy.

The party series takes place during the '90 days of summer', an initiative of his ministry.

ZJ Ice from Zip 103 FM, Team Shellas, Flabba Dabba and Ikel Marvlus, were the disc jocks that provided the musical selections at the launch.

Tara Fraser, public-relations director for Flex Week, said, "This year, we have added more premium events such as Exquisite, one more premium offering within the week, in addition to Club Miami."

Returning to the Flex Week list of parties are, French Book Live (August 1), Juice Theory (August 2), Levels (August 2), Reminisce (August 5) and the popular drink-inclusive, Rumbar Chug It, which ends the party series on Independence Day, August 6.

The new parties include, Wet Flexx (August 3), Club Miami (August 3), Exquisite (August 4) and Luminosity (August 4).

Patrons can get a season band for $12,500 which gives them access to all 10 parties.
