Shaka Pow

Dancehall artiste Shaka Pow recently filmed the music video for his comeback single, 'Best Babyfather', produced by Jah Snow Cone.

The single has been receiving favourable rotation on local radio and the veteran deejay hopes the video will boost its popularity.

"It's summer, so we decided to film a fresh video to go with the song, and, so far, the project is looking good," Shaka Pow said.

The video for Best Baby Father will be released within weeks in the Jamaican media as well as cable stations in Europe. According to the artiste, he has a strong fan-base in Europe and Japan. However he is looking to win over new fans with new music.

"I have a relatively loyal fan-base but, right now, it's all about building more support for the art. My music videos are normally entertaining and have a lot of dancing, and that's what my fans are looking for, real authentic Jamaican dancehall vibes. I just want it to be said that Shaka Pow represented for the real dancehall supporters and, as we can all see, real dancehall is on the verge, or returning, with veterans like myself. A just more work from the Outfit General," Shaka Pow said.

The deejay's most recent music video, Old Man Saw, has more than181,000 views on YouTube.com. He is also promoting a new dancehall/reggae mix tape, The Baddest Dancehall Mix tape Ever.

Best Babyfather, is featured on the old school-flavoured 'Nuh Fraid' rhythm. The rhythm also features veterans such as Mr Vegas, Mad Cobra, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Capleton, Terry Ganzi and Sizzla Kalonji.
