New summer club series Topless Fridays came to a decent start last Friday at the White Dragon nightclub in New Kingston. The event featured topless models and even the ticket clerk gave patrons something to feast their eyes on.

The STAR arrived at midnight greeted by a topless female who affixed our armbands and directed us to the dance floor. She wore slippers, a blue skirt and a smile and so did the other females inside the club.

The venue carried two bars, one catering to the VIP area and the other for regular patrons. The bartenders were all topless females and arguably males have never been so attentive at a bar counter.

The event went smooth sailing for a few hours with the DJ playing reggae songs like Romain Virgo''s Do You Remember, Gambler by Busy Signal and Need Her In My Arms by I Wayne. The selections received favourable responses, with the DJ pointing out that reggae songs are just as efficient to get positive crowd responses as hip hop and dancehall.

The topless women were the main attraction at Topless Fridays, however, the event was by no means a 'bull-fest' as several female patrons turned out with their spouses or in groups. Some women were dressed in accordance with the concept of the event by wearing tops that exposed their cleavage.

The music experienced some technical difficulties at minutes after 1 a.m as the speakers struggled to keep up with the heavy bass-line pushed by the amplifiers. In the end, the DJs at Lion Heart sound had to turn down the music significantly low in order to continue their set. The STAR left the event at minutes after 2 a.m.
