Music Industry Achievers Award postponed

The Music Industry Achievers Awards which was scheduled for today at the Courtleigh Auditorium has been postponed.

In a release to the media, the awards show organisers apologised to the guests, nominees, media personnel and all those affected by the postponement.

"This was out of my hands, I was forced to make this sudden decision due to reasons beyond my control. I am teary-eyed at this moment because I didn't want to postpone the event but it was the only thing to do," Nackesha Doyley, CEO of The Music Industry Achievers Awards, said in the release. "We are looking at September possibly for the new date, and of course we will let you all know the new confirmed date as soon as possible."

The organisers said they hope to see all invited guests out supporting the awards on the new date once it is announced.

Not a cancellation

"I am extending an apology to all my sponsors, nominees, performers and the entire entertainment fraternity. Bear in mind that this is not a cancellation, only a postponement, so I expect to see you all out on the actual date," Doyley added. She said people can make further enquiries and get more information by emailing miaproduction@hotmail.com or calling 389-2506.
