Big ventures for X'ellent in 2014

Since his professional introduction to music in 2004, X'ellent has maintained a constant presence but has never really managed to fully capitalise on the opportunity at hand.

Now, the highly self-motivated artiste, real name Mark Brown, seems adamant that his musical stardom is just a match strike away as he continues to put in the hard work.

"I believe that very soon, my breakthrough in music is coming," said the Spanish Town-based songwriter.

Brown believes music is his life and will stop at nothing to carve out a musical legacy that will educate and entertainment generations to come. His music touches a broad range of topics. Currently, he is promoting a new single called Here To Stay, featuring Delroy Wilson's daughter Chaina. The song is getting heavy rotation in several overseas waters such as the UK and the Caribbean.

Brown has already performed to various audiences at festivals, high schools, beaches, and hotels stretched across the island. In 2010, Brown found reasonable fame with the release of Di Women Dem, which got quality airplay on Sun City radio. Brown has also recorded and released Wine Fi Me, 6:30, and Team A Gal, songs he believes will further cement his argument to be one of the most prominent forces rising on the reggae-dancehall landscape.

He said that 2013 "has been a good year and 2014 is already shaping up positively. I will do all I can, musically, for it to continue".
