Rasbert Turner, STAR Writer

Two brothers, who are charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death while he slept were remanded when they appeared in the Old Harbour Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

They are charged with the death of Jason Lyn, a 30-year-old labourer of Colbeck district.

Those remanded were Lamar Perry and Omar Perry, both of Colbeck district in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

When the matter came up, the resident magistrate ordered that they be remanded to reappear in court on July 25.

Allegations before the court are that Lyn had an altercation with Lamar, who is physically challenged. Lamar reportedly related to his brother what had transpired.

On June 20, 2014, about 2 a.m., Lyn was in bed sleeping when he was attacked and stabbed repeatedly by both accused. He died as a result of injuries received.

Investigation by Detective Corporal André Smith of the Old Harbour police resulted in both men being charged with murder.
