Biting case dismissed

"Why the two of you don't go bite each other somewhere else?" was Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey's question for a couple who appeared in court recently.

The two had revealed that it was a biting incident that landed them in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is Julian Clarke of a Kingston address.

The complainant told the court that the accused who is her boyfriend, bit her in the face and punched her, to which RM Pusey quipped, "yuh watch too much football," which stirred laughter in the courtroom.

Clarke told the court however "yes cause she bite me inna me chest."

The complainant told the court that she was not in the mood to speak to Clarke at the time of the incident and out of frustration bit him and he allegedly attacked her.

"I neva waa talk to him at the time and him did hold on pan me and tru him stronger than me and me couldn't get fi move, me bite him inna him chest and him bite me inna me face," she explained, "and then you go lock him up?" RM Pusey surmised.

RM Pusey dismissed the couple stating, "why the two of you don't go bite each other somewhere else? Good Bye!"
