Jah Cure rocks Sumfest

Jah Cure - File

International recording superstar Jah Cure delivered a brilliant performance, arguably one of his best outings ever, at the annual Reggae Sumfest festival during International Night I last Friday.

Fans were impressed by the tight, soulful harmonies of the back-up singers and the powerful, well-synchronised chords of the competent Iyah Cure band as Jah Cure took the audience on a musical voyage encompassing his powerful hits. Loud screams were heard as the band struck up the first chords of Respect, after which he performed Jah Jah Bless Me.

Jah Cure's love songs tugged at the emotional core of his female fans and they sang lustily along to popular hits such Never Find, Longing For, Only You, Reflection, Unconditional Love and Love Is.

"Sumfest was awesome, it was a truly international audience, with people from all over the world. I feel the Jah Cure brand is growing; I am doing well for someone who has never been able to perform in Canada, the US or the UK," Jah Cure said.

The singer plans to release his latest single, Life We Live, next week. "We are going to shoot a video, and we are organising the pre-planned tour around my next album, Jah Cure, for 2015," he said.

Jah Cure is also launching his own Siccaturie clothing line. The latest designs can be viewed at Siccaturie Clothing on Instagram.

"The line just involves belts, hoodies and boots right now. I wore the white boots on Sumfest and I wore the brown ones in Costa Rica. The hoodies will be in stores at the end of the year," he said.
