Unidentified body found with gunshot wounds

Detectives attached to the Area One Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the body of a male that was found with gunshot wounds in Spring Garden, St James on Monday.

The body is of brown complexion, medium build and about 180 centimetres (5 feet 11 inches) long. It was clad in a red T-shirt with "AEROPOSTALE" printed on the front, two grey "Calvin Klein" underpants, blue jeans pants and a pair of black Clarks shoes.

Reports are that about 8:15 p.m., residents heard explosions and summoned the police. On their arrival, the body was seen on the roadway. The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.

Anyone who can assist the police in identifying the body is being asked to contact the Montego Bay Criminal Investigation Branch at 953-6191, Area One Major Investigation Taskforce at 954-3222, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
