The team comprising dancehall artiste Danielle aka DI and Sunjock Calico emerged winners in the second staging of the Suncity 104.9 FM-promoted IGL Bubble Di Pot Celebrity Cook-off.

Their winning dish comprised okra and salt fish in curry sauce with ripe plantain with bammy and a salad dish with vegan penne pasta salad comprising a zesty italian dressing, sweet corn, almond nuts, and dried fruits.

The event, which saw celebrities from the music fraternity partnering with Suncity radio jocks, was held at the Portmore Pines Plaza, St Catherine, last Friday.

The other participants were D'Angel and Sunjock Simple; Carlene Davis and Sunjock Crystal Clear; and Cherine Anderson and Sunjock Fire Wayne.

All the participants were required to prepare breakfast dishes and were judged on creativity, taste, presentation, and team work.

First place went to Danielle and Sunjock Calico ($100,000 prize went to a charity of their choice, the Salvation Army). Second to D'Angel and Sunjock Simple ($75,000 prize went to a charity of their choice); while third-place winners Carlene Davis and Sunjock Crystal Clear won $50,000 for a charity of their choice.

Finishing in fourth place were Cherine Anderson and Sunjock Fire Wayne, who won $25,000 for a charity of their choice.

"It was so amazing, and anything to give back to charity I definitely try to participate in. It was short notice, but I am happy that I could do this for my charity. Thanks to Suncity 104.9 FM, IGL, and Kendel for giving us the chance to do this," said Danielle.

The judges included Suncity 104.9 FM founder Doreen Billings, restaurant owner Michael Fisher, and chef Kevin Brown of the Good News restaurant.
