Sha Quan's 'Murder' doing well on YouTube

Ultra-talented new artiste Sha Quan has racked up more than 50,000 hits on YouTube with her hit song, 'Murder', alongside Mavado.

"This is easily my biggest song so far in my career. I am getting a lot of international attention for the song, and I have been getting tweets all over the Caribbean and the USA from fans and from selectors requesting jingles," the Oberlin High School graduate said.

Sha Quan's sexy feature on the Mavado combination, hit the top five of the BBC 1 Xtra dancehall charts recently.

The song has also made it to a number of local mixtapes. and is getting regular rotation on IRIE, ZIP and HITZ FM.

A current member of GSP (Gully Side a Peppa Dem), Mavado's fledgling dancehall group, Sha Quan has generated a lot of attention for her sexy, breathy vocals and her dancehall flair, edgy outfits and unique fashion sense. She has performed the song on local community events in Kingston and St Catherine.

"Right now, mi just ah continue to work hard, mi a write songs and mi a voice fi some new producers fi tek my music to the next level. I want to set trends as it relates to dancehall fashion and flip this whole game, Sha Quan ah go mek her mark," the artiste whose real name is Roxanne Genius, said.
