Police raid marijuana greenhouse

A generator valued at $200,000 which was allegedly used in the solar production of ganja and one solar system were seized by members of the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division (TNCD) in an operation in Norbrook Mews, Kingston 8, yesterday.

Information garnered by the Constabulary Communication Unit is that a premises was searched, and it was revealed to be a greenhouse for the cultivation of marijuana. Just under 200 seedlings were also seized.

Two men were taken into custody in connection with the seizure; however, their names are being withheld until charges are proffered.
