The police in St James have added another murder to its list of cases to solve, following the stabbing death of a woman at her home in the parish last Saturday night.

The dead woman has been identified as 20-year-old Saskaya Brissett of a Bobman Hill address in Lilliput district.

Reports from the Constabulary Communication Unit (CCU) are that at approximately 9:30 p.m. on August 2, Brissett was at home in Lilliput when she became embroiled in a dispute with a relative.

The relative reportedly brandished a knife and Brissett was stabbed several times all over her body. Brissett was subsequently transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The Barrett Town police, who are investigating, have so far not taken anyone into custody in connection with Brissett's killing.
