A man of unsound mind suspected to have set a house on fire in Port Morant, St Thomas, on Wednesday night, has been detained.

The house was valued at $400,000.

Residents reportedly spotted the man of unsound mind leaving the building after the fire started. The man was attacked and had to be rescused from the angry mob by police.
