Two home-made guns seized in Clarendon

Up to late yesterday, police said they had not laid charges against a man who was reportedly held with two home-made firearms in Clarendon on Saturday.

The man, whose identity the police have declined to release, was held with the firearms along with three rounds of ammunition, after he was reportedly scaring residents, police said.

The police reported that about 6:30 a.m. they responded to reports that a man was terrorising residents in the Swansea community in the parish.

Upon their arrival, the man, the police said, was apprehended and two homemade firearms along with three 9mm rounds were found on his person.

He was arrested and taken into custody.
