Three men accused of working in unison to rob a man of his wallet and cellular phone were remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Charged with robbery with aggravation and receiving stolen property are 21-year-old higgler Marvin Dunkley of Regal Street, Kingston 14; fish vendor Nico Smith, 20, of Blount Street, Denham Town, Kingston 14, and carpenter Rohan Moore, 19, also from Blount Street.

Moore and Smith pleaded guilty to the offences. However, Dunkley pleaded not guilty, stating he was not involved in the robbery.

The Crown alleged that on June 12, at approximately 7 p.m., the complainant was walking along a section of the Constant Spring main road, near Manor Park, St Andrew, when he was pounced on by two men who robbed him of his black iPhone, valued at 400, and his wallet. The men reportedly made good their escape in an awaiting motor.

Resident Magistrate (RM) Georgiana Fraser ordered Moore and Smith to return to court on August 20 for sentencing. Dunkley was ordered to return on the same date for a mention hearing.
