Men killed in shoot-out remain unidentified
Up to late last night, police said they had still not identified two men they killed in an alleged shoot-out in Brighton district, Westmoreland, on Tuesday night.

The two males were shot and killed during an alleged confrontation with the police about 7:45 p.m., THE STAR understands.

Information reaching our news desk is that one of the men is of Indian descent, brown complexion, slim build and is about 170 centimetres (5 feet 7 inches) long. He was clad in short blue jeans pants and a black T-shirt.

The other man, known only as 'Zeeks', was of dark complexion and slim build.

According to police report, two .38 revolvers and six rounds of ammunition were seized during the incident.

Yesterday, when our news team contacted the Westmoreland police for and update, DSP Errol Ranger told THE STAR that no family member has come forward, hence the deceased men remain unidentified.

The matter, however, has been reported to the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
