Bjorn Burke, Staff Reporter

A man accused of wounding another was further remanded when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Charged with felonious wounding is 30-year-old Sinclair 'Wally E' Forrester, unemployed, from a Vineyard Town, Kingston 3, address.

The Crown alleged that, on June 11, approximately 11 p.m., the accused and complainant got into a dispute, reportedly inside an abandoned building located on Marcus Garvey Drive, near Industrial Terrace, in Kingston.

Things turned physical, the court heard, when Forrester allegedly used a machete to inflict a wound to the forehead of the complainant. The complainant reported the incident to the police. Forrester was arrested and charged.

The complainant is believed to have spent three weeks in hospital, receiving 23 stitches as a result of the incident.

Resident Magistrate (RM) Georgiana Fraser ordered the accused man remanded, until August 14, when he is to reappear, pending verification of his address.
