Two on ammo charge granted bail
Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

A man and woman charged with illegal possession of ammunition, were granted bail in the sum of $200,000 each when they appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court Friday.

Those granted bail are Nyoka Taylor 20, and Michael Wint, 25 years old from Linstead and Jobs Lane addresses in St Catherine.

When the matter came up for mention, attorney-at-law Shantez Stewart made a successful application on behalf of the two accused. He told the court that both accused are young and vibrant and have much to offer and that they have no previous convictions and will return to court for the duration of the matter.

Bail was then granted on condition that Wint reports to the Spanish Town police and Taylor to the Linstead police station. They are to reappear in court on November 11, when the matter will again be mentioned.

Allegations are that on July 9, 2014 about 7:55 p.m., police personnel went to a house in the Jobs Lane community of Spanish Town, St Catherine. During a search, about 10 rounds of assorted ammunition were found in a room occupied by the two. They were taken into custody and charged.
