'Shizzle is no Fashion King'

... claims entertainment personality, Mr Universe

Ted 'Mr Universe' Brown, western Jamaica's award-winning fashion personality, who is an established name in the entertainment circuit in Jamaica, has blasted claims by Kingston-based entertainer, Shizzle Sherlock, that he is the 'king of fashion'.

"Who is this person?" questioned Mr Universe."No one knows, so how can he be calling himself the king of fashion? He cannot be the king of fashion because Shizzle don't do half of the things in fashion that I have already done. I've been in this business over decades. I've been in Kingston and all over the island with my fashion and I have won many awards and overall titles."

In an article published in THE WEEKEND STAR last Friday, Shizzle Sherlock declared himself 'king of fashion' a claim that has not gone down well with Mr Universe. Outraged by the proclamation, Mr Universe has likened Shizzle Sherlock to being an impostor who needs to be educated about what it means to be a fashion icon.

"I can tell you this, fashion is not all about fussiness, fashion is about uniqueness and classiness. The simple outfit that he has on in the paper (THE WEEKEND STAR) anybody can throw that on. He wears regular clothes that you can find in local stores; but Mr Universe clothes are all custom-made. Wearing some accessories and beads on his hands, I don't consider that fashion, anyone can put on those things," he said.

In an effort to back up his claim that he is the real king of fashion, Mr Universe is challenging Shizzle Sherlock to attend his upcoming birthday bash to prove himself.

"Shizzle, Mr Universe a call yu out to my birthday party coming up on September 19, 2014, at Mingles Night Club in Westmoreland. You say yu a fashionista and you claiming to be the king of fashion, well come, bring your a-game, as you need to come prove yourself,"declared Mr. Universe.

A host of artistes, including D'Angel, I Octane, Gaza Slim and Baby Tash are all down to perform at Mr. Universe's birthday bash.
