Noted Jamaican actor Johnoy Williams hosted his TV Boss & Frenz West Portland Awards show recently at Temptation Sports Club in Buff Bay, Portland. This is the second annual award show put on by Williams as he seeks to put his hometown on the map by awarding those who have contributed to community development. He also wants to add entertainment value to the town.

"Buff Bay is very active, but many of the efforts are not seen. With this event, I seek to put Buff Bay on the map and highlight members for their outstanding contributions to community development."

Popular footballer Jermaine Taylor was the event's host and music was provided by Jevy Genius, Bragga Flames, and others. The awards show boasted 12 categories including Party of the Year, Promoter of the Year, and Selector of the Year.

The show was an epic one, and the young actor looks forward to an even bigger event next year. He is hoping to get some sponsors.

"I am hopeful for next year that some sponsors can come on-board to make it an even more successful event. I want to thank the whole community of Buff Bay for supporting me in this venture. To all the nominees, in my heart, you are all winners," said Williams.
