Tifa proud of Canadian tour
Tifa's recent Valentine Crush tour in Canada has been hailed a success. The tour, which lasted for 11 days, saw the dancehall artiste performing in cities including Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and Ottawa.
"The tour was a success. I'm so happy and proud. Promoters have even started making requests and bookings already, based on the tour," Tifa said.
Canada has a vibrant dancehall following due to the large Caribbean population. However, one of the shows that stood out most on her tour saw many Caucasians in attendance.
"If you've been following my social media with the videos I've posted, you will see that the reception has been phenomenal. Vancouver stood out the most to me because it was the first-ever dancehall show inside the Waldorf Hotel. I was honoured to make history. Vancouver wasn't the typical dancehall crowd. It was 98 per cent Caucasian. Just goes to show music is universal and has no boundaries. It was definitely one of my proudest moments", said Tifa.
Now back on local shores, Tifa is scheduled to perform this Sunday in St Elizabeth alongside dancehall artiste Razor B. She is also billed for the March 1 staging of the Rainforest Seafoods Festival, as well as the popular Britjam series. The Bigga School tour is also high on her agenda.
"I'm also a mentor and judge for science genius by the JN Foundation, which will use dancehall to teach science in schools. I also have several gigs overseas. So there's a lot going on right now," she added.
Tifa is currently promoting the songs Just a Little Bit Longer and Hype Don't Pay My Bills that is one of the songs on ZJ Chrome's 'Humbug' rhythm. Videos for both songs will be shot next week.
