Baby Cham and Bounty Killer are set to unleash their musical Time Bomb this weekend in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Madhouse Records. The project, a seven-track EP, will feature dancehall heavyweight Dexta Daps and renowned actor Idris Elba.

A-class producer Dave Kelly, the mastermind behind the project, said his main goal was to not only create a masterpiece, but also make music that would “reflect our growth as individuals ... but still remain authentic to everyone involved”.

Kelly expressed hope that Time Bomb will deliver something that “our original fans will love and enjoy, and maybe inspire both the previous and new generations of artistes and musicians”.

Bounty Killer and Baby Cham collaborated on the 1999 timeless hit song, Another Level. Now, two decades later, the prolific entertainers have set out to drop something earth-shattering. The hitmakers spent a month in The Bahamas working on the project beore returning to Jamaica to finish up the album.

“We went into the studio and created musical time bombs. We want the fans to know that dancehall is alive and well, just waiting on the time bomb to explode,” they said, ahead of Friday’s release of the project.

Baby Cham said, “Working with Bounty Killer is always a blessing. I have been in the studio with him since I was a boy, before I was a professional. I have been in the studio like a fly on the wall, or like a sponge, soaking it up, absorbing and learning.”

One of the tracks on the EP is Slow Motion, which was released on May 5. It features Baby Cham, Bounty Killer and Dexta Daps.
