Teachers stage protest at Ocho Rios Primary
Disgruntled teachers at the Ocho Rios Primary School in St Ann are currently protesting.
This follows what is reported to be a physical altercation between the mother of a student and the school’s vice-principal, who allegedly fought over a confiscated cell phone.
The STAR understands that a teacher seized a cell phone from the student who was using the instrument in class.
It was taken to the vice-principal’s office.
Another student reportedly called the mother and told her what had transpired.
It is further reported that the mother then went to the school and allegedly engaged in a tussle with the vice principal to retrieve the phone.
