Case file for Paulwell's gun matter incomplete

Member of Parliament for Kingston Eastern and Port Royal, Phillip Paulwell, appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.

Paulwell has been charged with the negligent loss of firearm, following an incident in early July.

The veteran politician, who is Leader of Opposition Business in the House of Representatives, said his licensed firearm was stolen after he stopped in Hope Pastures, St Andrew. He was charged for the loss of the gun, following a ruling by the Director of Public Prosecutions.

When the matter was mentioned before Senior Parish Judge Lori-Anne Cole-Montaque, the prosecutor said the case file is not yet complete.

The matter was adjourned until Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
