Pastor's stolen gun recovered

September 27, 2023

The Portland police say they have recovered a gun which they believe was stolen from a Pastor in Boscobel, St Mary, and have taken into custody three men in relation to the seizure.

The gun was recovered during targeted operations across several communities in the parish.

According to superintendent Lloyd Darby, the operations which occurred on Sunday and on Tuesday, resulted in a total haul of two Glock pistols and 22 rounds of ammunition.

Darby was also quick to point out that the seizures are a testimony of the hard-work being carried out by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force in the parish.

A total of seven firearms have been seized by the police in the division since the start of 2023.

Meantime Darby is urging citizens of the parish to partner with the police in the fight against crime, as they seek to preserve peace among everyone.
