Jamaica, who started the match with captain Khadija Shaw on the bench, had one shot on goal in the first half, as opposed to Canada's eight.
Jamaica, who qualified for their second consecutive FIFA Women's World Cup tournament on Monday, must win this match to secure their maiden Olympic Games appearance.
