Kelson ready to assist Arnett to the title

Arnett Gardens' impressive 3-0 win over Harbour View at the Anthony Spaulding Complex on Monday was down to mainly one player, Rushike Kelson.
The young midfielder had two assists and was the playmaker of the final goal, as the hosts cemented their place in the top two and semifinals, and Kelson promises that there is better to come.
"I am very pleased with my performance because the main objective was to finish top two, so we can be in the semifinals. So I am very pleased because we got the win and in the semifinals," he said.
"We aim to finish on top of the league, so every game we are going to come out intense to win the match.
"Definitely, you are going to see a lot more from me as my coach said specific tasks are there and we must complete them, and we intend to win every match, so we will be coming out very intense every match, to get goals and win games," Kelson said.
On Monday, Kelson slipped an excellent through ball to Marlon Allen for the opener. Moments later, his shot was parried into the path of Shai Smith, who scored. Late in the match, he combined with Allen, who laid off for Romeo Guthrie to score.
At the start of the season, the 20-year-old had his sights set on scoring at least 10 goals, and although he has been getting more assists than goals, he is pleased with his contribution of four assists and two goals.
"When I started the season, I wanted 10 goals. I know that is a bit high for a junior player, but that was my main objective. I find that I am getting more assists than goals, although that is the case, I am pleased same way," he continued.
For the playoffs, Kelson believes a defensive display similar to that against the potent attacking Harbour View will carry them all the way.
"We have four matches remaining, one in this (preliminary) round, two semifinals and final, and if we can keep clean sheets in all those games, we will win the title. We want to win the league, and I am very excited that we can," he said.
