Lorne Donaldson insists he will not coach the Reggae Girlz again after his less than graceful exit from the post following a tumultuous 15 months in the hot seat.

Donaldson ended his second stint in charge after his contract, which ended September 30 ,was not renewed. This on the back of a most successful appearance at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand over the summer, where he guided the team to a historic round-of-16 appearance.

Nevertheless, Donaldson said he still has Jamaica's football interest at heart and will continue to support the sport, especially female football, in any way he can.

"No. No. No. I am not looking for anything like that," he responded when asked if he could return to coaching the Reggae Girlz some time in the future.

"I am just looking forward to continuing my life. I am not distancing myself from Jamaica. I will be doing the same things if I was coach." Donaldson hopes whoever the new coach is, they will continue to insert young players into the senior team, and said they can call on him for advice.

"Everything is a discussion but I am good. Hopefully, a coach can come in and they can call me once in a while for advice. But I will let them continue.

"The young players coming through, I can advise them on how to carry themselves.

"If they want to come to Colorado and train there (they can) because I am always open to people.

"So the fight is for the girls and, hopefully, they get a good coach who can continue with them because I know these girls are going to be up for the fight and the sky's the limit for them," Donaldson said.
